Lockdown and Release 2020

I have always either painted or worked in mixed media, never paper collage.

It was a dark time (Covid) during the spring, summer, and fall of 2020. To lighten my mood I decided to make whimsical references to Art with collage as the medium. I used the reference to art as the subject matter because that is what I know. The collages morphed into their own identity adding painting and drawing to the images. The references to art slowly gave way to the surreal and humorous.
